Like last year, the meals will again be served at the Kidron Community Park Rec Building. Carry out meals and chicken will be available starting at 3:30, dine in will start at 5:00, serving until we are sold out.
The cost of the meals and chicken will again be, by donation. Your donations will be used to help the Kidron Volunteer Fire Department better serve our community.
Our firemen along with volunteers from the community, as always, will again be cooking the chicken with our own special BBQ sauce and finishing them off with butter just before putting them in coolers to keep hot until serving.
The entertainment for the evening will be Jill Burke of Kidron starting at 6:00 and the local group Honeytown will start at 7:00. There will be a Kiddie Tractor Pull, Pony Rides, a Bounce House, and Cleveland Clinic is scheduled to make a landing with their Critical Care transport Helicopter, pending availability and weather.
As always, our fire trucks will be on display. Golf carts will again be available for transportation from the parking area to the event. There will also be Homemade ice cream and Lerch’s Donuts available.
As we did for our spring chicken BBQ fund raiser, we are going to have drive thru - chicken only (no meals) available at Kidron Mennonite church 3987 Kidron Road. We will have 2400 halves of chicken at the church to serve in the 3 drive thru lines. We will start serving at 3:30 and serve until 5:30 unless the 2400 halves at the church sell out before 5:30.
